Client: I-Stream Background: Based in Austin, Texas, I-Stream "provides a wide range of consulting services and Java, ActiveX and OS/2 products." We were contacted by email and asked to design a logo. At the time, the company was shifting direction and needed a higher profile. Analysis: We researched the web sites of I-Stream's competitors and business partners, many of whom had a bright, industry-appropriate look and feel. We felt we could give I-Stream the look they needed. Process: Four separate concepts were sketched, and then rendered in Adobe Illustrator, by David Schiffer and Eve Gonsenhauser. The chosen version was the first idea David had in mind, but had put aside because of the difficulty of capturing the spontaneity of his original sketch. Eventually he went back and executed the idea properly. Outcome: The design process took a bit under three weeks, followed by work on stationery set (letterhead, envelopes, and business cards), as well as a simple set of web graphics. We went on to design several versions of their web site over the following few years. Call us for a proposal on your project. |
